Dangerous driving

I hate people giving me instruction while I drive. I mean, something like, giving direction at the last minute or simply giving wrong directions. Driving a car is not like walking on your feet. Every single decision has to be well-prepared and well-done. You can't just go backwards when you go to the wrong street. It's a car, which have to follow traffic rules; not your feet, which answer to your brain.

What I am talking about is the incident yesterday morning. I almost caused an accident on the way to the airport. Peter, who sat next to me, kept giving me wrong directions all the way long. He would tell me to turn right suddenly when I was in the far left lane; to back off when we went to the wrong street ; to change lanes without any purposes. I somehow think how he could get his P-plate with these nonsense.

Another nonsense he made was what I called the "save-a-dollar" thing. When we arrived the airport, I told him to park in the carpark. Peter refused in his very heavy Singaporean accented English that it would only take him 10 minutes to grab Christina at the arrival hall. What I believed is that it is illegal to park a car in a no-standing zone and apparently, it would take more than 10 minutes for Christina to show up in the hall. When I was about to refuse, Peter was gone. I sat in the car for 30 minutes until they came back. At the time I turned on the engine, an airport guard truck flashed its headlights to me. It was obviously a warning. I was lucky he caught me when I was about to go. Otherwise, I would lose my licence and my car would be towed away. Why Peter would risk the licence of his roommate when the parking fee could only cost him a few dollars? Wasn't it too mean?

Anyway that was it. After this dangerous driving incident, I had no intention to be bothered again by him. I really drove very bad yesterday, as if I was drunk or on drug. Although I am not a confident driver, I am a decent driver, who will never put my licence and my life or someone's else life at risk. It doesn't worth it, is it?
